He graduated from Fayetteville High School and received his undergraduate degree gaining a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Arkansas. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. This was followed by orthopaedic residency at Hamot Medical Center in Pennsylvania. During his fellowship he worked with the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins, New England Revolution as well as the entire Harvard undergraduate collegiate teams. Dr. Arnold is a member of the Top 40 under 40 Professionals in Northwest Arkansas.

In 2000, Dr. Arnold moved back to Northwest Arkansas where he started his practice with his father, the late James A. Arnold, M.D. Dr. Arnold has published extensively in medical journals, primarily involving sports injuries to the knees. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, The Arthroscopy Association of North America, The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the American Association of Hip & Knee Surgeons as well as multiple other professional organizations. He and his wife Paige have two children Chase and Spencer. They are actively involved in The Church at Pinnacle Hills in Rogers, AR.

Dr. Arnold has extensive training in arthroscopic and reconstruction surgery of the knee and shoulder. Arthroscopy is a procedure, which Dr. Arnold performs to repair or remove small cartilage tears of the joint. This is an outpatient procedure that may be performed at any of the outpatient surgical centers. The entire hospital stay lasts approximately three to four hours. This procedure is excellent for alleviating pain due to a torn cartilage that may cause swelling, catching, locking, and similar symptoms. The recovery from a knee arthroscopy is approximately four to six weeks.

Dr. Arnold continues to develop and adapt the most current orthopaedic techniques to allow you the best possible result from your treatment. If possible he utilizes a minimally invasive approach for total knee arthroplasties, working with various orthopaedic companies to further design tissue sparing or minimally invasive techniques and instrumentation to further develop tissue sparing or minimally invasive instrumentation and surgical approaches. These help to reduce pain and loss of function after surgery and allow patients to return to their daily lives faster with less scarring. Patient satisfaction continues to be our utmost goal, with approximately 95% of our patients being very satisfied with their outcomes, and who would go through the procedure again if needed.
